Mass for Toney A. Canale Sr., partner in a Memphis grocery firm more than 25 years, will be said at 10 this morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary, with Spencer-Sturla Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Canale suffered a heart attack yesterday morning and died at 12:30 a.m. at his home at 1433 Poplar, where he had lived more than 30 years. He was 71. Born in Memphis, Mr. Canale was the son of the late Andrew and Carolyn Lagomarsino Canale and was a member of an old and prominent Memphis family. he attended Christian Brothers College. he was a partner in the retail grocery firm of Canale & Colosimo, located at Vance and Main. For many years eh was also Tennessee representative for the Pleasant Valley Winery in Rheims, N.Y. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Rose Longinotti Canale; two sons, T.A. Canale Jr., assistant cashier of the North Memphis Branch of the Union Planters National Bank, and Joseph A. Canale, an agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. J.c. Sparks and Miss Savina Canale, both of Memphis; and a brother, James P.
