Prince Adolf of Schaumberg-Lippe was born on July 20, 1859 at Schloss Buckeburg in Buckeburg, Principality of Schaumburg-Lippe, German Empire, as the seventh out of eight children of Adolf I, Prince of Schaumberg-Lippe and Princess Hermine of Waldeck and Pyrmont. He married Princess Viktoria of Prussia on November 19, 1890 at Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin, German Empire, they had no issue, he died on July 9, 1916 at the Schaumberg Palace in Potsdam, German Empire at the age of fifty-six.
