Lillian Mae Skinner Carney, 85 Star Route, Honesdale, Oregon Twp., died unexpectedly Saturday. She was the wife of Cecil R. Carney.
Born in Torrey, Wayne County, daughter of the late Alvin "Eugene" and Emma Griffin Skinner, she was a lifelong resident of Torrey.
Also surviving are two sons, Donald, Lake Ariel, and Clinton, Torrey; two daughters, Faye Megargel, Old Forge, and Lila Hayes, Torrey; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Nelson, and two sisters, Emma Jean and Lavina.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Hessling Funeral Home, 428 Main St., Honesdale, with services by the Rev. Paul McCawley. Interment, Torrey Cemetery.
