Born Genevieve H. Stanton, daughter of Silas Stanton and Jane (Brown) Stanton. Married 4 times. #1. Frank Clark, he and their children died of "Black Fever". #2. Alexander Freeman Carney 1870-1909, their children; Ferris, Nettie Mae, Leo Dell, Hurley, and Cecil Raymond Carney. #3. Lowell Race 1879-1940. #4. Arthur "Archie" Charles Traver 1885- 1968, was a first cousin of Alexander F. Carney.

Mrs. Jennie Race Traver, 90, 615 Riverside Drive, Honesdale, wife of Archie C. Traver died early Wed., Sept. 12, 1962 at her home after a long illness. Born at Equinunk on Feb. 7, 1872, she was the daughter of Syle and Jane Stanton. The deceased came to Honesdae in 1912 and had resided at the Riverside Drive address for the past five years. Mrs. Traver was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband are three sons, Ferris Carney, Cherry Ridge; Hurley Carney, South Canaan; and Cecil Carney, Torrey; one daughter, Mrs. Peter Hansen, Honesdale RD3; two brothers, Edward and John Stanton, Honesdale; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Robinson, Braman, and Mrs. Bessie Wood, Livingston Manor, N.Y.; 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Sat. at 1:30 p.m. from the Hessling Funeral Home, 428 Main St., Honesdale, with the Rev. R. A. Beck pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be made in the famiy plot in Torrey Cemetery.
