On February 15 2006, at age 69, Mom left this world quietly from her home in Brooksville, Florida.
She was raised as in Grantsburg with 3 sisters and one brother. She used to help out at a diner her Mom ran, called 'Esther's Eats'. A high-spirited girl, she was anxious to see the world after she graduated. She moved around a bit throughout her adult life.... Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and finally Florida. (She hated the cold weather.)
Barely 5 feet tall, her tenacity, spirit, wit and sense of humor made her seem 10 feet tall. She was very independent, and a hard worker. Until her death in February 2006, she worked at a local Hardees, where she made award winning biscuits. Everyone there knew her as 'Miss Betty'.
She was an EXCELLENT cook, and always made enough for an army. She always said,"If you leave the table hungry, it's your own fault!"
She once went to a car dealer and got a loan based on her biscuit making abilities. The dealer there always went to Hardees for breakfast on his way to work, but never knew just who was making those delicious biscuits.

We all used to sit together and watch tv. We'd watch The Wonderful World of Disney, Mutual Omaha's Wild Kingdom, and we even learned to like The Lawrence Welk Show.
She loved laughter, dancing, animals, flowers, and music. Although she listened to a variety of different music...from opera to rock, her favorite artist was John Denver. She was a huge supporter of the Humane Society, and adopted many dogs and cats over the years....always a soft touch where puppies were concerned. She loved penguins, and said she always wanted a REAL penguin, but hating the cold weather, she'd settle for penguins of other varieties....stuffed, porcelain, plastic, or whatever we could find. Every year one of us girls always made sure there was a penguin, or three, under the Christmas tree. The last time we were all together was the Christmas before she died. That Christmas she got 10 penguins!

Preceding her in death are her parents, Esther and Albert Moberly, and her only son Keith Marvin Kramer.
Left to carry on her legacy of love, are her 3 daughters: Janna R. Seager of Wisconsin, Joy E. (Tim) Schwarz of Wisconsin, Kathryn F. (Rick) Green of Brooksville Florida, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and dozens of nieces and nephews.

We held a memorial service for Mom on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Brewer & Sons Funeral Home in Brooksville, Florida.
Mom was cremated as she wished, and her ashes were placed in three small porcelain urns. One for each daughter.

There isn't a day that goes by, that we don't 'talk' to Mom. She held our hands when we were small, but holds our hearts forever.
We love you Mom, this day and always.
