Athel Dever "Tate" Keely, 71, Klamath Falls, died Monday in Klamath Falls.

He was born in Oklahoma to Artimus and Toye-Etta Miller Keely.

He was married April 25, 1937 to Violet Evie Jester.

From 1941 to 1945, the Keelys resided in Merced, CA. They then moved to Redding, CA where they remained until moving to Klamath Falls in 1961.

He was a veteran of World War II.

Mr. Keely was a retired building contractor. He built many homes and a number of professional buildings in Klamath Falls and the surrounding area.

For the past 20 years, he was owner and manager of the Keely Trailer Park on High 39.

He was a member of the Nile Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Violet, Klamath Falls; sons, Dwayne Keely, Eguene and Roger Keely, Boise, ID; daughters, Vicky Dawes, Redding, and Karen Sellers and Michelle Bergen, both Klamath Falls; brother, Elvin Keely, Klamath Falls; sisters, Orene DeBusk and Wilma Mason both Merced; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
