Theraon Arston Phillips passed away suddenly at his home in White Rock, Floyd County, Virginia in the early evening of December 23, 2005.
He was predeeceased by his parents, John "Poppy John" Sherman and Sarah "Dolly" Serena Thompson Phillips. Also by brothers Cecila Astor Phillips, and Clinton Floyd Phillips, as well as sisters, Ina Belle Phillips Harris, Zola Phillips Duncan, and essie Bea Phillips. He was survived by his wife of over 49 years, Martha Agnes Coburn Phillps. Daughters and son-in-laws, Patsy Phillips and Jackson Whitacre; Peggy and Joseph Quesenberry; Dolly Phillips Conner; and Nancy and Kenneth Page. He had 2 grad daughters, Martha Kristen Howell, and Emily and husband Joey Kaylor.
Grandsons were Zachary Arston Conner, Joshua Jasper Conner, and Jacob Coburn Phillips. Grand grandchildren were Brittney Nicole Howell and Michael "Mikey" Charles Howell.
Burial was December 26, 2005 at the White Rock Church of the Brethren Cemetary. Presiding at the funeral services were Brothers Gary Rapp, Michael Pugh, and Michael Gallimore. Services were held at the Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, VA.
