A Funeral Mass for Robert L. Bloczynski, 78, of DeLand, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2009 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 359 W. New York Ave., DeLand with Fr. Thomas Connery officiating.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Constantino Funeral and Cremation Service, 935 E. New York Avenue, DeLand, with a Wake Service being held at 6:30 PM.
Mr. Bloczynski was a proud member of the National Guard serving in Company H with the 426th Infantry Division, Wisconsin.
He moved to Florida in 1985 from Lincoln, Nebraska with his wife Shirley. Robert worked as the Chief Mechanical Engineer and lead Project Manager for the Brunswick Corporation in DeLand, retiring in 1998 after 26 years of service. He was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Fair Oaks Council # 6066. He was a very loving father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Bloczynski in 2004, his daughter, Susan Merrill in 2008 and his brother, Richard Bloczynski in 1996.
