Anthony Hoggard, age 88 of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away to be with the ever loving Savior March 28, 2009 at the MidMichigan Medical Center.

He was born on September 19, 1920 in Saginaw, son of the late John Hoggard and Lura (Smith) Hoggard.

Anthony married Stella Mary Reifsnyder in 1938 until 1980 they had 4 children, Ken Hoggard, Kay Beck, Ginny (Jim) Chamberlain and Keith (Cindy) Hoggard.

He then married Diane Szyperski on Novmeber 23, 1983 in Mt. Pleasant, they had 2 more children, Chase and Chelsea.

Tony had worked for The Dow Chemical Company for 20 years, retiring from there and starting his own businesses, Michigan Metal in Merrill in 70's, then Harbor Springs Oil Patch Machines and in Mt. Pleasant, Hi-tech Diecast from 1982 until 1986.

He had served with the United States Navy during World War II.

Anthony Hoggard was survived by his wife Diane Hoggard, children, Ken Hoggard, Kay, Ginny, Keith Hoggard, Chase Hoggard, Chelsea; one brother, Bob Hoggard; two sisters, Ida Peasely, Bea Grosstefon; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Tony Hoggard was predeceased by brothers, Tom Hoggard, Wes Hoggard, Norm Hoggard, Evart Hoggard and two sisters, Della Toner and Leta Timmons.
