Maude Richardson Buried Wednesday

Funeral services for the late Maude C. Richardson, age 75, who passed away Sunday, were held at the Phillips Funeral Home chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. T. Earl Poindexter officiating and interment was made in the local I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Mrs. Richardson, a pioneer resident of Klickitat county, leaves many friends to mourn her passing, as she has been known and loved in the community since the year 1879 when she first came here with her parents.

Maude Christina Richardson was born August 10, 1877 in Napa County, California. The family moved to Klickitat county when she was about two years old, settling in the No. 6 community.

She was married to James Calvin Richardson in February of 1896. Three children were born to this union, Ruth who died in infancy, Laverne and Albert.

Mrs. Richardson was a member of the Methodist Church and Neighbors of Woodcraft.

She is survived by her daughter Laverne Darland of Goldendale and granddaughter JoAnn; and a grandson Tommy Lee Richardson of the Air Force; one brother, A.J. Watson of Goldendale, and a number of nieces and nephews.
