Mrs. Pierce was born to Charles and Sadie (Quesenbury) Frye November 12, 1901, in Sallisaw, Indian Territory. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Dewey Smith, to whom she was married 19 years.
On November 5, 1945, she married Earl Pierce in Independence, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1987. She lived in Okay form 1958 to 1975, where she owned and operated the Okay Café. She has lived in Wagoner the past 18 years.
She attended the First Presbyterian Church, where she loved to play cards and games with her Friday Lunch Bunch and she enjoyed reading.
Mrs. Pierce was also preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, George Smith of Ponca City; two grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Frances Frye of Muskogee.
