Fate Burnette Williamson was a gracious woman, educated, independent, and loving. She was a beautiful woman, small statue, ivory skin, and dark hair, a beauty queen to some.
She was born in Black Mountain, NC, in the year 1926. Her father was Thaddeus Burnette Sr. and her mother Grace Walker Burnette, all of Black Mountain NC. Fate attended two colleges, and became a woman pharmacist, and retired from the Veterans Hospital Administration, in Oteen, NC.

She married Robert Lee Williamson Jr, in 1951, and for twenty years they shared a loving and wonderful life together, until his death in 1971.
From their marriage they created her most valued joy, her only son, Lee T. Williamson.
Fate loved her son, her land, where she grew up, upon. She also loved her farm cats, she loved her animals running freely across her land, and spring time she cherished, for she said "everything begins to grow and be born anew".

She always said, " we may not be rich people, but we are rich in land".

Fate passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years old, with her son, and his wife at her side, in their home.
Not many can say in this life that they can always have want they want.

Fate was a blessed lady, she was born on her land, lived, loved and died on her land.

Fate's services were held by Penlands Funeral Home, of Swannanoa, NC. Her wishes were to be cremated.
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon her ashes were scattered on the green grass's of her farm, by her son, as his loving wife watched and together they prayed. She was at peace knowing her wishes had been fulfilled.

I was so blessed to have this wonderful lady in my life. Though she was my Mother-in Law, she loved & treated me like a daughter. And I loved her in return as a Mom to me. During her transistion from this life to the next with God, I took care of her within our home, and I am so glad I did, it's some of the most cherished & rewarding moments I shall ever treasure in my life.
She is loved, she loved and she is missed dearly.
We love you forever and always Moma.
