BLUE MOUNTAIN – Lennie Lee Akins Carroll, 79, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at her home. She was retired from Foot Caress and Gentry Gallery and a member of the Holiness Church.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at the McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with Bro. Russell Hamm officiating assisted by Bro. Tim Latch. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Lawson Carroll of Blue Mountain; six daughters, Dorothy Ketchum (Lamar), Twila Johnston (J.O.), and Becky Hall (Ronnie), all of Ripley, Glenda Hunt (Galon) of Hickory Flat, Ilene Rickman of Corinth and Maxine Holley (K.O.) of Tiplersville; three sons, Allen Carroll (Betty) and Benny Carroll, all of Ripley, and Roy Carroll (Sarah) of Blue Mountain; two sisters, Mattie Huddleston of Booneville and Sue Jean Duncan of Ripley; two brothers, Claud E. Akins Jr. (Mary Belle) and William Akins, all of Ripley; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claud E. Akins Sr. and Luner Miller Akins; four sisters, Loreen Mooney, Martha Hall, Edna May and Aladys Akins; and one great-grandson, John Rickman.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Duncan and Randy Duncan.
Visitation will continue from 7 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
