Age 83, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2005 after a 7 year battle with cancer.
He was born on May 3, 1921 in Fowler, MI the son of Philip and Rosina Blundy. Mr. Blundy worked at T.R.W. from 1953 until his retirement in 1979.
Donald was a member and past president of the Dad's Club of the V.F.W. Post # 4090, and he enjoyed woodworking, fishing and golf. He was preceded in death by his parents; second wife, Marlys; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are his wife, Mary of Portland; children, Sharon (Larry) Roback of Alma, Tony (Carol) Blundy of Clarksville, Sue (David) Sillman of Big Rapids, Terry (Debbie) Blundy of Lake Odessa and Gail (Wes) McVay of Ionia; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; first wife, Maxine Blundy of Ionia; sister, Gertrude Werner of Ionia; sister-in-law, Rita Blundy of Portland.
The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland, with the Rev. Larry King, Pastor of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland, presiding. Interment will take place at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
