Tasha, 34, died at Martin Memorial Hospital-North, in Stuart. She attended the public schools of Martin County and graduated from Martin County High School, received an associate's degree in elementary education from Tallahassee Community College, a bachelor's degree in education from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, and a master's degree in early education from Florida State University College of Education.
She was a kindergarten teacher at Floresta Elementary in Port St. Lucie. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart.
Survivors include her father, Curtis E. Blatch Sr.; mother, Delores Matheny; brother, Curtis E. Blatch Jr.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elder George and Eliza Blatch and her maternal grandparents, Leroy and Louise Matheny.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 3-6:30p. April 10 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart. A celebration of life will be at 2:30p. April 11 at Jensen Beach Community Church (United Church of Christ), in Jensen Beach with the Rev. James C. Watson, pastor of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, officiating. Burial will follow in New Monrovia Cemetery in Port Salerno. Arrangements are by Thorne's Mortuary Inc. of Stuart. A guestbook may be signed at thornesmortuary.com.
