Mildred Irene Boepple, 96, of Great Bend, died March 24 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. She was born May 18, 1912, at Covington, Okla., the daughter of Jacob and Mabel Casto Beck. She married Julius Boepple on Nov. 23, 1932, in Douglas, Okla. He died March 13, 1989. Mildred was a homemaker and a resident of Great Bend since 1932, coming from Covington, Okla.
Mrs. Boepple was a member of First Christian Church and Riverside H.D.U., both of Great Bend.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Elaine Piland and husband Basil of Great Bend and Shirley LuAnn Bundy of Hutchinson; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three infant sons, one infant daughter and one granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with the Rev. William F. Johnson officiant. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
