The Titusville Herald, Titusville, Crawford Co., PA: 24 Mar 1916: John Heenan Stahlman died suddenly March 16, 1916, at his home in Lincolnville, Crawford County, of acute indigestion. Mr. Stahlman was well known in Forest County, having conducted boarding houses for Frank Brown at Mayburg and for the Coleman, Harter & McCormick Company near Tionesta. For the past two years he had been conducting the commercial hotel at Lincolnville, and was employed on the lumber job of Lyman Cook. He was born at Sigel, Jefferson County, April 30, 1860, and was united in marriage with Miss Ida Katz, July 4, 1883, who survives him. Surviving him are these children: Mrs. Ora Royer and Mrs. Irma Ekis of Clarington, Pa., Sidney Stahlman of Tionesta; Meade Stahlman of West Virginia, and Carrie, Ditha and Neal Stahlman at home. Three brothers also survive, as follows: Dr. Thomas M. Stahlman of Pittsburgh, Pa., James and Archie Stahlman of Sigel, Pa. The funeral was held Sunday in the Baptist church at Lincolnville and the body was laid to rest in the Loomis Cemetery.
