Maggie Claar was a farmer and a mother. She was born and raised, and started a family there. She´s my 3rd Great Grandmother. If you´d like to Visit her farm, Message me on Instagram @Joeyknowsdawae. Maggie was 11 years older than Raymond. Her father owned 120 acres and subdivided it to his 3 kids that were still living. In November of 1859, 5 of Maggie´s Siblings died from Dipheria. The first Matilda Claar Died November 9. The second and third James Quinten Claar and Joseph Claar died the 11th. The Fourth William Claar Died on the 13th and Elizabeth Claar died the 18th. Sarah Claar moved away and Married Simon Ickes and Abraham, Noah, and Maggie were Willed 120 Acres. Their Father Daniel Claar gave them each 40 acres. In 1904 Maggie sold part of the farm back in the woods to The Broad top Railroad. Maggie and The Railroad signed an agreement to put a road up through the track to feed her cows. In 1899 She married Raymond Acker and had 3 Kids. They were Genevieve Lehrsch (Acker) 1898-1978, William David Acker 1906-1958, and Sarah Catherine (Claar) Acker. Their first Child Genevieve Married Lorenzo Finnegan and had 2 Children. The Children were Cecil Finnegan she died as an infant and Clyde Andrew Finnegan 1920-2014. Their second Child William David Acker Married Lillian Marie Finnegan and had 5 Children. The First was Pauline, Violet, Leroy, Tommy, Then Donald Lewis Acker. He died as an infant due to deadly illnesses.
