Joseph Neil "Jody" "Pappy" McCallum
Mr. Joseph Neil "Jody" "Pappy" McCallum, 44, of Wadesboro, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009 at his home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Peele's Chapel Wesleyan Church in Laurel Hill, with the Rev. J.W. Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the McCallum family cemetery in Rowland. The family will greet friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home is Wadesboro.
Mr. McCallum was born in Scotland County on May 13, 1964, a son of Pearlina Troublefield McCallum of Wagram and the late Ray B. McCallum.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Donna Harris McCallum of the home; children Joshua Neil Cooper, Ricky Allen Locklear, and Lakisha Inez Cooper; stepchildren Randy Brayboy, Joshua Brayboy, and Allen Brayboy; and a granddaughter, Lanadika Nichole Cooper. Also surviving are his brothers, Billy Ray and Don McCallum; and sisters, Diane Locklear, Donna McCallum, and Shirley Chavis.
Leavitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
