Body of Powell Man Found, Hollis G. Crites Shot to Death
Deer Lodge-Apr 28-Hollis G. Crites, former resident of Havre, and more recently of Powell County, was found dead in his car three miles west of the Bilenberg ranch in the Upper Race Track Valley, Tuesday.
The man was found by Joe Ryan, a rancher, who was driving to his work in the field when he saw the car driven off the road in a ditch and dumped over.
The body was brought to Deer Lodge. Officers said Crites had a bullet wound in his head. A rifle was found in the car.
The man is survived by his wife, Gladys Crites, and four small children. The body will be taken to Havre for services.
