Harold B. Jespersen 87, of Pekin passed away at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, IL on Wednesday March 25, 2009.

He was born in Lyons, CO on June 10, 1921 to Nils and Selma Burness Jespersen. He married Marie Steigerwalt in Lawrenceburg, IN on December 8, 1945.

She survives along with his sons; David of Los Angeles, CA, Donald (Jill) of Hermiston, OR, Robert of Chicago, and daughter Carol Delheimer of Rockford.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Jespersen.

Harold graduated in 1943 from the University of Colorado in Boulder and served in the Army Air Force from 1943 to 1945. He was a Chemical Engineer for Sherex, retiring in 1986. He was an avid stain glass maker and enjoyed Circle 8 Square Dancing. Harold was a proud member of St. John's Lutheran Church where he was an elder, taught Sunday School and was on the board and treasurer for Ewe's Treasures.

Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
