E.A. "Lefty" Cooper, 76, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at his residence.

Born Dec. 6, 1926, in Malden, son of the late Hubert and Maggie Price Cooper, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, owner/operator of Just Rite Cleaners, Ship Ahoy Bowling Lane and Malden Roofing, all in Malden and attended the Presbyterian Church. He served on the Malden Airport Board, was a member of the Rotary Club and coached little league.

On Oct. 26, 1946, in Piggott, Ark., he married Patricia B. Mills, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one daughter, Debby Wiseman and husband, Mike, of Clarkton, Mo.; three sons, Barry Cooper and wife, Gaye (Bell), of Dexter, Mo., Michael Cooper, of Campbell, Mo. and Charles Cooper and wife, Karen (Stout), of Malden; one sister, Laviece Koengeter, of Malden; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Ann Cooper; six brothers and five sisters.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bill Jackson and Bill Mills officiating.

Burial will follow at the Resewood Cemetery-1st Addition in Malden.
