Lewis Vaun Still, 81, of Osceola, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at his home.

Mr. Still was born Feb. 10, 1928 in Hardin, son of Andrew Lewis and Mabel (Bice) Still. He married Alta Fern Yoakum of Richmond on Nov. 4, 1949; she survives of the home.

Mr. Still was a carpenter for 35 years before retiring in 1991. He had lived most of his life in Richmond before moving to Osceola in 1998. He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the Richmond Masonic Lodge #57 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, Ararat Temple, Richmond Shrine Club, Richmond O.E.S. Chapter #255 and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of American Local #1904.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: brother, Bill Still of Richmond; and a host of friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond Masonic Lodge Building Fund.

Visitation 1-1:45pm, Friday, April 3, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, where Masonic Services will be held at 1:45pm prior to the funeral service. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wakenda Cemetery north of Hardin.

Arrangements are under the direction of Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
