Edmund H. Beckwith, age 73 years, died at Waymart, Saturday evening May 6, 1922, after a few days illness with pneumonia. He was born in Albany, N.Y., March 31, 1849, and while a small boy removed to Clinton with his parents. He was united in marriage Jan. 10, 1875, to Malinda Hinds of Clinton and after one years residence at Herrick Centre settled at Clinton where he since made his home until ten days ago when he sold his farm and went to Waymart. In addition to his farm work he was a mason by trade and a substantial citizen of the township. He was a member of South Clinton Baptist church for many years. Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Minnie, wife of Frank Burdick of Paulsboro, N.J.; Cora, wife of Ray Estelle of Waymart; three sons, Orville E. and Coe of Waymart; Claud of Paulsboro, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. George Owens of Carbondale: Mrs. Mary Tonkin of Herrick Center. The funeral services will be held at the home of the son Orville, Tuesday at 12 o'clock noon and at South Clinton Baptist church at one o'clock. Rev. Mr. Fisk of Binghamton, a former pastor of the charge, officiating; interment in Clinton Centre cemetery.
