Gladys Roberts Moon, Greenville
Gladys R. Moon, 96, of 1911 Poinsett Highway, died Thursday night, Jan. 20, 2000, at Roger Huntington Nursing Center in Greer.
Mrs. Moon was the daughter of the late Zeb V. and Virginia R. Roberts and the widow of the late Bub Moon. Mrs. Moon was predeceased by brothers, Locke, Claude, Jud, Jack and Wade Roberts; and a sister, Jessie M. Roberts.
Surviving are her son and daughter- in-law, James C. Moon Sr. and Linda B. Moon, of Greenville. Also surviving are three grandchildren and their spouses, James C. Moon Jr. and Susan A. Moon of Taylors, Mark D. Moon and Connie Culbertson of Greenwood, and Candi M. and Robbie Copeland of Greer; and great-grandchildren, Kyle D. Moon, Kati N. Copeland and Jessica R. Moon.
Mrs. Moon was a lifelong, faithful and devoted member of Morgan Memorial Baptist Church. She was a retired textile employee of Poe Mill. Mrs. Moon was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Memorials may be made to Morgan Memorial Baptist Church, 2300 Old Buncombe Road, Greenville, SC 29609.
Visitation: 12:30 to 1:50 p.m. today at Morgan Memorial Baptist Church, with the service following at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
