Perry took on the surname of his "adoptive" parents
John & Susan Whisler.

Perrys older brother & 2 sisters were also adopted,
by the "Finely" family, they retained their surname
of Altman.

**Dr. P.A. Whisler Succumbs After Long Illness **

Dr. Perry A. Whisler, 86, of 627 W 11th St. passed away this morning in the Corona Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Brazil, Ind., on Oct. 5, 1875.

He was a chiropractor, practicing in San Bernardino from
1921 until his retirement in 1955, when he moved to Corona.
Dr. Whisler was a member of the Benevolent and
Protective Order of Elks Lodge 2045 of Corona and the
Neighbors of Woodcraft Circle 105 of San Bernardino.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Irene Whisler of
Corona, a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Patterson of 1404
Normandy Terrace, one granddaughter, Janice of Corona,
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced
by the Grimes Funeral Home.

627 West 11th St., who passed away Friday in the
Corona Hospital will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in
the chapel of the Grimes Funeral Home.
Officiating will be the Rev. John R. Bill, pastor of
St. John's Episcopal Church. Internment will follow
at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
