Mary A. Cazaad[sic}, 81, of Oakland

A requiem mass for Mrs. Mary Z.[sic] Cazaad[sic] will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, 1535 16th St., Oakland, Followed by burial in Golden Gate National Cemetery.

Mrs. Cazaad[sic] died yesterday at Merritt Hospital in Oakland after a long illness. She was 81.

During 25 years as receptionist at Oakland's Highland Emergency Hospital, Mrs. Cazaad[sic] endeared herself to Oakland newspapermen on the police beat for her friendliness and cooperation. During her last hospitalization, reporters remembered her kindness by visiting her and taking her gifts.

A native of Missouri, she is survived by three sons, including retired Oakland Deputy Police Chief Robert Cazaad[sic], and Luther L. Cazaad[sic], both of Sonoma, and Donald of Indianapolis; three daughters, Mrs. Benedict Comenzind of Oakland, Mrs. Mary Nascimento of Alameda; Mrs. Warren D'Asquith of Monte Rio; a sister [sic], Mrs. [sic] Joseph Daly (should say brother, Mr. Joseph Daly--following obit does state this); nine grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

There will be a rosary Sunday at 8 p.m. at Grant D. Miller Mortuary Chapel, Oakland.

Friends are invited to attend services at the TELEGRAPH AVENUE CHAPEL, Monday, May 7 at 8:30 a.m. Thence to St. Anthony's Church, 1535 16th Avenue, Oakland where a requiem mass will be celebrated for the repose of her sole commencing at 9 a.m. Recitation of the Rosary Sunday 8 p.m. Interment Golden Gate National Cemetery..
