Mrs. Monroe Callender Dies in Zetus Community

Mrs. Dora Summers Callender, 74, widow of the late Monroe Callender of the Zetus community, died in the early hours of Wednesday at the home near Zetus of a niece, Mrs. Ada Summers Smith, and the latter's husband, where she had lived for some years. She had been ill about two weeks.

The funeral was announced for ten Thursday morning in Hawkins Chapel, interment to be made in the cemetery nearby.

Mrs. Callender was a member of a large and established Lincoln County family and was reared in the Fair River community. The youngest of a family of eleven brothers and sisters, she is survived by two brothers, Messrs. B. E. and Elgin Summers, both of Fair River, and many nephews and nieces and more distant relatives.

Mrs. Callender was a highly esteemed member of her community and was a member of the Methodist church.

The relatives bereaved have the sympathy of friends of their loss.
