Repeat Vows In Goldendale

Baskets of orchid and white gladioli were used in the Goldendale Methodist church for the June 7 wedding of Miss Willette Ann Hardin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hardin of Goldendale, to J.D. Davidson of Walla Walla, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Davidson of Richland. The Rev. Arthur Campbell performed the double ring nuptials and Mr. Hardin escorted his daughter to the altar.

The bride was attractive in a floor length gown of white organza and lace made in princess style with chapel train. The bodice of the lace was trimmed with seed pearl embroidery and featured a sabrina neckline and long sleeves tapered over the hands. A crescent shaped headband of pearls on lace held her veil of illusion net and she carried her white Rainbow Bible overlaid with a white orchid and stephanotis shower.

Wearing deep violet taffeta and chiffon, the matron of honor was Mrs. Ed Hoctor, and in dresses of similar style and material in a lilac shade, the other attendants were Mrs. Wayne Hoctor and Mrs. Jerry Sherman, all of Goldendale. All carried crescent shaped bouquets of orchid and white glamelias. In a frock of orchid taffeta, Glynis Hassing was flower girl.

The bridegroom's brother, Clem Davidson of Seattle, was best man and ushers were James Hogan, also of Seattle, and Virgil McVicker of Richland.

During the ceremony "Wedding Prayer" and "If I Could Tell You" were sung by Dick Craig of Portland, accompanied by Mrs. Adria Sleeper of Goldendale, organist.

The reception took place in the church social rooms where Mrs. Hardin greeted her daughter's wedding guests in a blue lace dress accented with white accessories and a deep pink rosebud corsage. Similar flowers and rose accessories were worn by the bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Davidson, with her gray lace frock.

Presiding at the punch bowl was Mrs. Clem Davidson, Seattle; and at the coffee service, Mrs. Karl Evenson of Portland; Mrs. Palmer Myra of Goldendale cut and served the wedding cake and the guest book was passed by Mrs. Dick Craig. Gifts were listed by Mrs. Rhonda Dake of Prineville and Miss Jo Ann Darland of Goldendale.

The couple left on a honeymoon trip to Nevada and for travel the bride changed to a navy blue ensemble with which she wore white accessories and the orchid from her bridal bouquet. After June 21 they will be at home at 362 So. Catherine in Walla Walla.

The bride attended Goldendale high school and Central Washington College of Education at Ellensburg. The bridegroom attended Columbia high school in Richland and is a 1958 graduate of CWCE.
