Bernard "Bernie" L. Wooley III, 140 Wheeler Road, Eubank, died Thursday, June 1, 1995, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville, after a lengthy battle with Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency.
He was born Dec. 21, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, son of Bernard L. Wooley, Jr. and Mildred (Ballard) Bush. He came to Kentucky from Middletown, Ohio 13 years ago. He was a dispatcher for South Kentucky RECC. He was a member of the Roachester Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents; his wife of 23 years Denise (Prater) Wooley.A son Keith Wooley, two daughters Heather and and Jennifer Wooley. Four brothers Michael, Jeffery, Brian, Mark Wooley. One half-brother Eric Bush and one half-sister Laura Wooley. One granddaughter, Kelsey.
Mr. Wooley was preceded in death by one brother who also died in 1993 from Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency, Dennis Wooley.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4th, in the capel of New Brothers Funeral Home, wit Bro. Jim McKinny officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery.
