Wound Victim's Rights Saturday

Funeral for Israel Lackey, 66, retired stone mason who was found dead of a bullet wound at his home, 934 North 7th, Thursday afternoon, will be held at the Garrison chapel at 3 p. m. Saturday, with the Rev. Mr. Willis, Church of God pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill cemetery.

Mr. Lackey's body was discovered in a small storehouse at the rear of his residence. A single-barrel shotgun was nearby. Police Chief C. Z. Hallmark reported. Death was
caused by a bullet wound in the abdomen, according to Dr. Sol B. Estes, who examined the body.

Mr. Lackey had lived in Abilene since 1927. He was born in Blanco county June 29, 1882. He had been in ill health the past six years.

Survivors include his widow, three sons, G. W., I. P., and J. B. Lackey, all of Abilene; two daughters, Vallie Lackey of Abilene and Mrs. Naomi Seaman of Oklahoma; and 17
grandchildren.
