Godfrey R "John" Cafferata died yesterday, Sunday, Aug. 25, 1991 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was 59.
He was born in New York and lived in Parsippany before moving to Bayville in 1988. Mr. Cafferata owned and operated John R. Cafferata Electric of Parsippany since 1953.
He served in the Marines during the Korean War. Mr. Cafferata was a member of Lacey Elks 2518 of Forked River.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia A.; two sons, Gary G and William R., both of Parsippany; a daughter, Linda J. Gadon of Santa Barbara, Calif., two brothers, Hector A. of Alpha and William N. of Duncan, British Columbia and five grandchildren.
Under direction of the Riggs Funeral Home, 130 N. Route 9, Forked River, a memorial service with interment of cremains will be held on Aug. 29, 1991, at 1pm in the Monmouth Memorial Park Mausoleum, Tinton Falls, NJ.
