Olis Nichols
Olis Vencil Nichols, 68, of Columbia
died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1993,
at Boone Hospital Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday,
Nov. 28, at Memorial Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Caldwell
officiating. Burial will be in Memorial
Park Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at
the funeral home.
Mr. Nichols was born July, 30,
1925, to Berry Nichols and Irene Batye
Nichols. On Sept. 9, 1944, he
married Helen Maxine Level, and she
preceded him in death in 1981. On
Nov. 5, 1985, in Glasgow, he married
Allene Roberts, and she survives.
Surviving along with his wife are
three sons, Dwayne Nichols, Tim
Nowlin and Ken Janicki, all of Columbia.;
four daughters, Joan Railton,
Sue Larkin and Vicki Offineer,
all of Columbia, and Carolyn Bowden
of Tensleep, Wyo.; two brothers,
Billy Boyce of Columbia and Loren
Nichols of Billings, Mont.; a sister,
Letha Durr, of Texas; 15 grandchildren;
and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by
two brothers, and two sisters.
