Flora Bennett, daughter of George D. and Alice Bennett, was born on a farm near Lenox Dec. 20, l892.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and graduated from Lenox high school.
She taught school several years and graduated from Iowa Bible training school in June of 1920 as a Deaconess in the Methodist Church. She served in this position 25 years working at Settlement work and as minister's assistant.
Failing health and her father's old age caused her to return home where she lived with her sister until December, 1971 when she entered a convalescent care center.
She passed away Nov 10, 1973.
She leaves one sister, Marie, on the old home place, one brother, Donald near Clearfield, two sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and many friends made in her work. One brother, David, preceded her in death.
Burial was in the Lenox cemetery.
