SHAWNEE, Okla. —
Shawnee resident Thelma M. LeGard died Saturday, April 4, 2009, in Shawnee at the age of 99.
She was born Nov. 1, 1909, in Veste, Ark, to John Wesley Mainord and Celia (Hardin) Mainord.
On June 7, 1930, she married George LeGard. She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two brothers and seven sisters. Survivors include her brother, Glover Mainord and wife Katherine of Shawnee; sister, Wanda L. McPherren of Midwest City; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will be at Walker Funeral Service 5-7 pm Tuesday, April 7, for visitation. Graveside services will be at South Lawn Memorial Park in Tucson, Ariz, on Saturday, April 12, under the direction of Walker Funeral Service, Shawnee. Online condolences may be submitted at www.walkerfuneral.com
