Mr. Nett was born at Marytown, Calumet County, on May 3, 1876, son of the late Peter and Gertrude Nett. He attended St. Mary Parochial School at Marytown and on Feb. 2, 1900, married the former Louisa Mahlberg of Jericho. She died March 13, 1929.
At Marytown Mr. Nett operated a cheese factory before moving to Kiel in 1908.
There he was engaged in the tavern business for 20 years until his retirement 26 years ago. On April 26, 1930, he married Mrs. Dora Engel of Kiel.
She survives along with a son, Elmer of Kiel; a stepson, Edgar Engel of Port Washington; a stepdaughter, Mrs. A. J. Brill of Kiel; two brothers, Arnold of Kiel and Frank of Milwaukee; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death, were four sisters and four brothers.
