Jeanne Louise Watrous Woodard was raised in upper New York State and grew up in a small town called Groton. Jeanne served her country in WWII as an Army Air Corp WAC at Columbia Air Force Base. It was there she met her husband Robert Woodard and married in 1945. She moved to Illinois with her new husband after the war and raised five children. Jeanne has an extensive ancestry in New England dating back generations and includes being descended from Stephen Hopkins of the Mayflower. Jeanne had a sarcastic wit, loved to laugh, and cared for her children sacrificing herself for their welfare when needed. She was five foot three and had a full head of deep Auburn hair, brown eyes, and a pleasant smile. After her husband passed she worked as Captain of the Pinkerton Guard at OMC Johnson Motors Plant in Waukegan Illinois and then retired to live with her daughter in Florida. She was taken from us by Rhuematoid Arthritis and Pneumonia.
