Ray D. Estell, 60,Dies in Hospital After Brief Illness
Ray D. Estell, 60, Belmont St., Waymart, proprietor of a general store in that borough, died yesterday at Carbondale General Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of South Canaan, he resided in Waymart the past 37 years, and was well known throughout Wayne County.
Besides his wife, the former Miss Cora Beckwith, he is survived by: four children, Sgt. Rexford, U.S.A.; Mrs. Marjorie Clark, at home; Mrs. Evelyn Nettleton, Philadelphia, and Mrs. Doris Starbuck, Middletown, NY.; two sisters, Mrs. Wayne Estell, Charlottesville, Va., and Mrs. Edna Giradot, Scotia, NY.
The funeral will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the home with the Rev. R. A. Edwards, Waymart Baptist Church, officiating. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery.
