Joseph Carrier -MILLEDGEVILLE - Joseph Carrier, 87, died Sunday, December 1, 2002. Services will be Wednesday at 11A.M. from Sparta Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at 2P.M. from Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Cochran, GA. -Mr. Carrier was a native of Bristol, TN but made his home in Sparta since 1969 and was retired from the Sparta Police Department. He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Carrier and was a member of Sparta Baptist Church. -Survivors include his wife, Milbrie Lee Carrier of Sparta; children: Mary Ann Rozar, Caroline Carrier, Wanda Braswell and Donna Sue Hasty, all of Danville, Martha Escamilla of Allentown, and Joseph Carrier of Dublin; step-children: Ellis Martin and George Martin, both of Sparta, Hazel Clack of Portland, OR; 20 grandchildren also survive. -Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 7:30P.M. at Moores Funeral Home.
