Elvin "Peck" HOLLOWAY, 82, R.R. 6, Rochester, died at 8 p.m. Saturday at Canterbury Manor nursing home where he had been a patient two weeks. Mr. Holloway was born Jan. 12, 1893, in Kosciusko county to George and Levina SHELLEY HOLLOWAY and had lived in this area most of his life. He married Eva Ruth BECHTEL in 1914; she survives. He was a farmer and a trucker. Surviving with Mrs. Holloway are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Wanda) CHALK, and Mrs. Fred (Rosemary) McGLOTHIN, both of Rochester; six sons, Russell [HOLLOWAY], Logansport; Bernie, Walter, Howard, Lester and Marvin [HOLLOWAY], all of Rochester; a sister, Mrs. Harvey (Mae) COLEMAN, Rochester; a brother, Harry, [HOLLOWAY] South Bend; thirty-four grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Four sisters and two brothers preceded in death. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev. Paul STEPHENSON officiating. Burial will be in the Citizens cemetery. Friends may call today from 2:30 until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of services.
