Sylvia Mae Green of Mitchell, IN, formerly of Saltillo, IN, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at her residence. Born on June 29, 1908, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Grover and Nora (Owens) York. She married Ocie Taylor, Arthur Fletcher, and Frank Green, all of whom preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary O. Henderson of Mitchell, IN; one sister, Violet Swartz of Mitchell, IN; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was a former employee of Reliance Manufacturing and was a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church.
Services for Sylvia Green will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 16th, at the Mitchell Wesleyan Church with the Revs. Steve Jones and G.D. Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the Saltillo Cemetery.
