Funeral services were held today for Charles E. Groat, 59, of R.R. No. 1, Chicago Heights, Ill. former Hammond resident. In the Oexman funeral home, 3713 Hohman, Hammond. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred Witvoet of Chicago Heights; one son, James; father Jacob Groat of Hammond; two grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Clara Howard; two brothers, William and Virgil, all of Hammond.
