William Culver was the seventh child and only living son of Lewis Culver and Sally Ann Hadsall. In the 1880 Fed. census, he was married to a lady named Julia (no record of her death) On March 8, 1983 he married Nellie A. Winters. William and Nellie produced five known children. They were: Frank L Culver b.1894; Francis b. 1896; Marion Culver 1897; Carol Culver 1899; Jay P Culver 1901.

William made his living farming. The 1930 census revealed that William and Nellie were the only ones living at home. They had a radio, and owned their house and land. They declared their property to be valued at $3,000.

William died in 1841, at the age of 89, and is buried in the Mountain View Cemetery in Exeter, PA. (Bio by Audrey DeCamp Hoffman)
