7 Jan 1954: Dr. Charles F. Rouh, of Myerstown, one of Lebanon County's best liked physicians, died at 6:30 o'clock this morning at his home on the corner of South Railroad Street and Bahney Avenue in Myerstown. Dr. John F. Loehle, who made the examination, said death was due to coronary embolism. He was 51 years old and had practiced in Myerstown for the last 20 years. Dr, Rouh was a graduate of Hahnemann Medical School, Philadelphia. He was a member of the medical staff at the Good Samaritan Hospital and of the Lebanon County Medical Society. For a number of years he had served as Myerstown's school doctor. Previous to his practice in Myerstown, he was an assistant to Dr. H. S. Gingrich in Fredericksburg. Dr Rouh made many friends during his long years of practice because of his kindly nature and his willingness to answer late night calls. In addition to his widow, Vera M. (Neville) Rouh, the doctor is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth J. Rouh, student at Duke University; and brother and three sisters living in Northern New Jersey. [Lebanon Daily News]
