MT. PLEASANT, Sanpete County- Funeral services for Jess Shelley, 73, Mt. Pleasant, will be Wednesday, 12 (noon), Mt. Pleasant Second-Third Ward Chapel.

He died Jan. 11, 1969, in a Salt Lake hospital of natural causes.

Born Aug. 29, 1895, Charleston, Wasatch County, a son of Samuel Levi and Marian Elizabeth Burnside Shelley.

Married Phoebe Terry, May 24, 1922, Manti Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She died Dec. 20, 1964.

Farmer, stockman. Construction worker. City water master.

Member, Mt. Pleasant Second Ward Sunday School superintendency. Home teacher 50 years. High Priest. North Sanpete Stake Missionary.

Survivors: sons, daughters, Elwin J., Clair L., Mrs. Ralph B. (June) Morris, Mrs. Jack (LaVerne) Bond, Mrs. Stephen (Virginia) Lundberg, all Salt Lake City; Mrs. H. T. (Dora) Winterbottom, Pocatello; 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brothers, David A., Mt. Pleasant; John M., Nampa, Idaho.

Friends call Ursenbach Funeral Home Wednesday one hour before services.

Burial, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
