Mrs. Randolph (Iris) Webber, 85, died Wednesday, May 9th in the Dayton General Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born Dec. 1, 1894 in Huntsville, the daughter of Clay and Lula Raley Brooks. She attended the Huntsville schools and was the only graduate in her class in 1914.

She married Randolph Webber in Walla Walla on Sept. 28, 1916. They made their home in Huntsville for a time before moving to the Pleasant View area where they farmed for a number of years before returning to Huntsville. They then moved in the early 30's to Walla Walla. They came to Waitsburg to make their home in 1940.

Mrs. Webber was a member of Waitsburg Methodist Church; Schuyler Rebekah Lodge; the Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington; the Friendly Thimble Club; and the Priscilla Club.

She is survived by her husband Randolph, at the home; four sons, Hubert of Napa, Ca., Cecil of Waitsburg, Robert of Vancouver, Wa., and Richard of Walla Walla; four daughters, Elaine Yager, Thelma Webber, Ethel Wills and Janice John, all of Waitsburg; 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A son and a daughter preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held in the First Christian Church on Friday morning with the Rev. Vernon Smith officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Carl Henze at the organ, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sickles sang "In the Garden", and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere". Casket bearers were Wayne Hinchliffe, Bernard Donnelly, Ernest Kison, Howard Smith, Kenneth Gohlman and Jim Helm. Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home was in charge of services. Interment followed in the family plot in the Waitsburg Odd Fellows Cemetery.

The family asks that memorial donations be made in Mrs. Webber's name to the Waitsburg Ambulance Fund or charity of their choice.
