DAVIDSON, MR. WESLEY R. - age 69, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2002, at his home, with his family, in Deer Lodge, TN. Wesley was born April 3, 1933, in Lancing, TN. He later lived and worked in Harriman, TN, where he was President of the Lions Club and the General Chairman of Harriman's Diamond Jubilee Celebration in 1965. He moved to Knoxville, TN, in 1970, where he lived for about 10 years. He later semi-retired and moved to Deer Lodge, TN, in the early eighties, where he owned and operated the Davidson Factory Outlet. He was also the publisher and editor of "The Poets Review" and "The Inspirational Poet", two monthly national publications. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by;first wife, Dorinne Scott Davidson;
parents, Arthur and Effie Williams Davidson; brother, M.T. Davidson; sisters-in-law, Annabell Martin and Corinne Scott Kreis; brothers-in-law, Duane Scott, Jack Syler, and Danny Atkinson. Surviving: wife, Retha Davidson of Deer Lodge, TN;
son, Dale Davidson and wife Judy of Cincinnati, OH; daughter, Jodie Cooper of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Michael and Ryan Davidson of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Stanley Davidson and wife, Vera of Lancing, TN, and John Davidson and wife, Carol of Milner, GA; sister, Beth Syler of Marion, IL; mother-in-law, Eva Dean "Granny Dean" Atkinson of Deer Lodge, TN; brothers-in-law, Wendell Atkinson of Crossville, TN, Randall and Dennis Atkinson, both of Deer Lodge, TN, Ben and Ronnie Atkinson, both of Clarkrange, TN, Lonnie Atkinson of Jamestown, TN, M. C. Kreis of Deer Lodge, TN, and Don Adams of Chattanooga, TN; sisters-in-law, Joyce Braden of Galion, OH, Faye Harville of Monterey, TN, Reba LaRue of Banner Springs, TN, Doris Franklin and Karen Little, both of Clarkrange, TN, Joella Clark of Banner Springs, TN, Phyllis Davidson of Lancing, TN, Eileen Sackett of Harriman, TN, Loretta Adams of Chattanooga, TN, Barbara Scott of Deer Lodge, TN, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening, 8 p.m., at the Schubert Funeral Home Chapel, Wartburg, with Bro. Tommy Kilby officiating, with military graveside services to beheld Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at Lavender Cemetery, Deer Lodge, TN.
