Rita M. Bohnert, 69, of Jasonville, died peacefully at home with her family at her side at 7:12 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009. Born Nov. 21, 1939 in Jasonville, she was the son of Clifford Ragsdale and Jessie (Wilson) Ragsdale
Rita carried the Terre Haute Tribune- Star for 30 years.
She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Pam Bohnert of Brownsburg, Linda and Troy Woods of Jasonville, sons and daughters-in-law, John Bohnert of Sandborn, Ernie and Jill Bohnert of Linton, Cliff and Lisa Bohnert of Wilfred, brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Marilyn Bohnert of Dugger, Bettie Soncrant of Jasonville, Bobby Bohnert of Lafayette, Patricia Schmear of Lake Ranch, TX; grandchildren, Jessica and Matt Dowell, Jaclyn and Eric Terrell, Jennifer and Eric Barcus, Johnnie Michael and Koby Bohnert, Kendra Bohnert, Jessi Bohnert, Morgan Bohnert, Molly Bohnert, Dylan Woods, Annie Bohnert, Taylor Woods, Jackson Bohnert, Renee Hinesly, Maddie Hinesly and Emma Royal; great-grandchildren, Brock Dowell, Brooklyn Dowell, Griffin Terrell, Olivia Terrell, Truman Dowell and Wyatt Barcus; several nieces andn ephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; as well as several special and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Bohnert on April 18, 1993; and brothers, John Ragsdale and Jim Miller; and a sister, Lena Miller.
Visitation: 11 AM to 1 PM Tuesday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Terry Dowell officiating.
Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
