"T.C." was the son of the late Dolph and Aurelia York Combs.
He retired from GM in Dayton, Ohio. A member of the Vance Masonic Lodge and Omar Shrine Temple he was a Mason and Shriner for 34 years. His charity work includes the "World's Largest Bass Tournament for Charity" for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Dayton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife Collean Combs who died April 17, 2008, and is survived by his sons, Rick Combs of Santee, SC, David Combs of Pana, IL, and Greg Combs of Fayetteville, NC; a grandson and granddaughter, Cole Combs and Summer Combs; brothers, Rick Combs of Fairborn, Ohio, and Hershel Combs of West Union, Ohio; sisters, Lena Williams of Fairborn, Ohio, and Doris Carter of Coco Beach, FL.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Caleb Combs.
Interment was in the American Legion Cemetery, Big Stone Gap, VA.
