Mrs. Keziah Frances (Kate) Mower Tucker, died Saturday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Brady Walker, 27 W. 800 N., Orem, on her 81st birthday.

Mrs. Tucker was born April 28, 1881 at Fairview, daughter of John Albert and Frances Ann Richards Mower.

She received her early schooling in Fairview.

She married George Warren Tucker, Nov. 27, 1901 in the Manti LDS Temple. They were among the early farmers to homestead land grants in Sanpete county.

Mr. Tucker died Dec. 17, 1958. The family moved to Provo in 1923. Mr. And Mrs. Tucker moved to Orem in 1957.

Mrs. Tucker was an active member of the LDS Church and a visiting teacher in the Relief Society of the Orem 10th Ward and member of the Timp View Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She had served as teacher topic leader and choir member for many years.

During World War I she knitted 20 sweaters and scores of sox and house slippers for the boys in the service. She made quilts for all of her children and for most of her 52 grandchildren and 40 great‐grandchildren.

Mr. And Mrs. Tucker sponsored several families to come to America and helped many young people in their college education.

Surviving are nine of the 11 children, as follows: G. Webster Tucker, Willard; Clarence Tucker, Lake View; Ernest Tucker, Edgemont; Mrs. Jesse L. (Alice) Young, Mrs. Gerald (Laura) Henrie, and Mrs.Stanley H. (LaVon) Roberts, Provo; Mrs. J. Monte (Maxine) Wight, Pinedale, Wyo.; Mrs. E. Arlo (Vonda) Richardson, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Brady (Olive) Walker, Orem; also the following brothers and sisters, Jessie and Ernest Mower, Ogden; John F. Mower, Provo; Hyrum D. Mower and Mrs. Cynthia Holleman, San Bernardino, Calif.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Our Chapel of Memories Mortuary in Provo, directed by Bishop Ancil Winger of Orem 10th Ward.

Friends call at the mortuary Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services.

Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
